This May will be hectic as always. So many events happen at the end of the year and everyone will pull together to make it the best ending to another great year.
Our 3rd & 4th graders were a great audience to author Obert Skye who visited MES on Friday, April 29. The students left looking forward to reading the Levin Thumps and Pillage series!
Move aLONG with a Good Book!
The main event for May will be Right to Read week beginning May 16th. And the main event for Right to Read week will be a visit from author and illustrator Loren Long. He will address all students on Thursday, speak to families from 6-6:30 before Young Author events and sign autographs in the library throughout the evening. Madeira's Book Shelf will also be in the library selling Loren's books at a 20% discount, and also providing Summer Bridge Workbooks and great summer reading selections.
An autographed copy of The Little Engine That Could makes a great graduation gift!!!
